Another Fresh Concept Cellphone Straight From Finland!

Tommy Incrosnatu, the same guy who created this incredible Nokia concept phone, also designed the following device that you see below. He teamed up with artists Oula Runila and Miika Herranen, while the background photo belongs to Shawn Palmquist. As you can see, we have a very modern smartphone interface right here, with simplified graphics.

This concept was created in order to showcase the beauty of Finnish nature and the result will be a 60 second TV clip, according to Tommy. We can only imagine that we’re seeing here is a very beautiful Nokia phone design of the future, with an UI that reminds me a bit of MeeGo and a Home menu that’s a little bit like the one in HTC Sense.
The widgets are pretty interesting in this interface and while the device looks like the HTC HD7 a tiny bit, we can’t help but imagine it to be Nokia smartphone with Windows Phone 7 on board…

Samsung Galaxy Skin, a Flexible AMOLED Smartphone With Projector on Board!

We give you the Samsung Galaxy Skin, a flexible phone concept created by Heyon You. This incredible design features a flexible AMOLED display and its case is made of graphene.

The key technology of the device is the “Galaxy Skin” that transforms the entire body of the handset by sending an electronic signal. As far as specs go, the display is a 4 inch WVGA one of the flexible kind and the Samsung Galaxy Skin also comes with a 1GHz CPU, a projector, augmented reality and the customized Android Flexy OS.
There’s also an 8 megapixel camera on board with auto focus, panorama shot and more, plus Bluetooth 3.0 support, USB 2.0 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. You get 32GB/16GB of internal memory on the device. The product measures 8mm in thickness and its battery is a 1500 mAh unit. This design reminds me a bit of the case of a Palmtop device with that flipping side. I wonder how they’ll integrate the battery in the flexible body…

Nexus Prime Render Probably Looks Better Than The Real Thing

Considering the recent leak of the Samsung Nexus Prime, it seems a bit pointless to show you a render of a device you’ve already seen in live images. However, these renders of the first Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone look too good to be missed.

The pics show Nexus Prime’s face and that extremely curved profile we’ve seen in a Samsung teaser published recently. Presumed specs are a 4.65 inch 720p display, a dual core 1.5GHz, a 5 or 8 megapixel camera and at least 16GB of internal memory. Of course we’re dealing with a fake here, since usually concepts look better than the actual smartphones.
There’s also a sneak glance at Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the image below, in case you want it. It’s strange to see the virtual buttons from Honeycomb on a phone and a dock with such beautiful apps, that remind me of custom ROMs. I’m really curios how thin this curved smartphone is and how round are its curves in comparison with the Xperia Arc and Nexus S.

Flx Phone Design Uses a Detachable Bluetooth unit

Wenhing Chu & Michael Toh created the Flx concept phone based on “the principle pf mechatronics”. This involves a minimalist design and a detachable Bluetooth headset, as well as a 4:3 AMOLED touchscreen display. There’s also a menu launcher and gesture panel in the mix.

Flx works both in landscape and in portrait mode and it come swith Carl Zeiss camera technology, plus a sliding rear panel. Relying on a deep Piano Black and Brushed Metal finish, this classy phone is both high tech and modern, plus very elegant. You can slide down the rear panel and flip it to 90 degrees in order to create a stand for the handset, improving media viewing.
Multimedia experience is the emphasis here, with the FLX transforming between landscape and portrait mode, using an orientation sensor. The device responds to movement by orientating the display according to the situation and the experience of media playback. The stereo earbuds come with a ringer indicator that lights up in red. I’d see HTC creating such a device to be honest…
